92-80 City of Chanhassen Carver and Hennepin Counties, Minnesota DATE: July 13, 1992 RESOLUTION NO: 92-80 MOTION BY: Mason SECONDED BY: Dimler A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PREPARATION OF FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR EXTENSION OF LAKE LUCY ROAD BETWEEN GALPIN BOULEVARD (CR 17) AND TRUNK HIGHWAY 41, PROJECT NO. 92-12 WHEREAS, an inquiry has been received by two property owners located in the southeast quarter of Section 4 and southwest quarter of Section 3 concerning development proposals; and WHEREAS, the City's Comprehensive Guide Plan amended in May 1991, identified the extension of Lake Lucy Road from Galpin Boulevard (CR 117) west to Trunk Highway 41 as a needed future collector street improvement; and WHEREAS, the two proposed developments on the west end, which lie within the general area of the Lake Lucy Road extension, requires the City to determine the most appropriate alignment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Chanhassen City Council hereby authorizes the City to: 1) Officially map the extension of Lake Lucy Road between Galpin Boulevard (CR 117) and Trunk Highway 41. 2) Prepare a feasibility study for the road improvement project of approximately the westerly quarter-mile of this segment. Assign William R. Engelhardt & Associates as the engineer on the project. Passed and adopted by the Chanhassen City Council this 13th day of July, 1992.
