TH 5 Corridor Scoping, Environmental and Preliminary Design,
PW067B2: Update
BACKGROUND
Staff has been meeting regularly with representatives from communities along the
TH 5 corridor west of TH 41. This group has been meeting to look at the long
term needs of the corridor and plan for future improvements. As you are aware,
this corridor has experienced significant growth in the last several years which has
increased traffic congestion and accidents.
The group is trying to fund a project similarly to the TH 101 Corridor Scoping
Study Chanhassen has recent completed. The goal of the project is to identify the
long-term right-of-way needs of the corridor, start identifying potenti(lLfunding
sources and officially map the corridor.
