CITY OF CHANHASSEN COUNTIES OF CARVER AND HENNEPIN, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION Neveaux Resolution No: 78-44 Seconded by Councilman: ~earson Date: August 21, 1978 Motion by Councilman: RESOLUTION RESTATING ELECTION PRECINCTS AND POLLING PLACES e e WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 124721 , dated December 4 1972, the Village of Chanhassen established four election precincts together with their respective polling places; and ~VHEREAS, the results of the election held on November 2, 1976 showed a disproportionate number of voters in Precinct 1; and WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 76-94-A, dated December 13, 1976, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes ~204A.06, the City Council of Chanhassen divided the then current Precinct 1 into two precincts; and WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City Council of Chanhassen to restate for clarification purposes the election precincts and polling places established by the foregoing resolutions. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: 1. That portion of the City of Chanhassen lying East of the Carver County-Hennepin County boundary line shall constitute a separate election precinct which shall be identified as the Chanhassen-Hennepin County Precinct. 2. That portion of the City of Chanhassen within that part of the Chaska Independent School District No. 112 lying East of County Road No. 117 and north of State Highway No. 5 shall constitute a separate election precinct which shall be identified as the Chanhassen First Precinct. 3. That portion of the City of Chanhassen lying West of County Road No. 117 shall constitute a separate election precinct which shall be identified as the Chanhassen Second Precinct. ". e e e .. p 4. That portion of the City of Chanhassen in Carver County lying South of State Highway No. 5 and East of County Road No. 117 and the Chanhassen-Chaska boundary line shall constitute a separate election precinct which shall be identified as the Chanhassen Third Precinct. 5. That portion of the City of Chanhassen in Carver County within that part of the Minnetonka Independent School District No. 276 lying East of County Road No. 117 and North of State Highway No. 5 shall constitute a separate election precinct which shall be identified as the Chanhassen Fourth Precinct. 6. Qualified voters residing in the respective precincts shall vote at the polling places within said precincts as follows: a. Chanhassen Hennepin County Precinct - Chanhassen Elementary School; b. First Precinct - Chanhassen Elementary School; c. Second Precinct - Minnetonka West Junior High School; d. Third Precinct - Chanhassen American Legion Post #580 Building; and e. Fourth Precinct - Chanhassen Elementary School.
