EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF
MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CHANHASSEN,
CARVER AND HENNEPIN COUNTIES,

Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting
of the Council of the City of Chanhassen, Minnesota, was duly held at
the Council Chambers in said city on Monday, the 8th day of October,
1979, at 8:00 o'clock P.M.
The following members were present:

Councilmember Neveaux introduced the following resolution
and moved for its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO.
79-59
RESOLUTION DETERMINING TO ISSUE THE GENERAL OBLIGATION
BONDS TO PROVIDE MONEY FOR THE ACQUISITION AND BETTER-
MENT OF VARIOUS MUNICIPAL BUILDINGS.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chanhassen,
Minnesota as follows:
1. It is determined that in order to provide adequate municipal
services to its citizens the City is in need of the following new
municipal buildings: a city hall building, a public works building
and a satellite fire station.
2. It is hereby determined that it is necessary and expedient
for the City to provide money for such municipal buildings by the
issuance and sale of the City's general obligation bonds in the total
principal amount of not to exceed $1,484,500.00.

3. The question of authorizing the City to issue such bonds
shall be submitted to the voters of the City at a special election
to be held on Tuesday, November 6, 1979. The question to be sub-
mitted to the voters at said election shall be as follows:
SHALL THE CITY OF CHANHASSEN BORROW MONEY AND ISSUE
AND SELL ITS NEGOTIABLE COUPON GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS
IN THE AMOUNT OF NOT TO EXCEED $1,484,500.00 FOR THE
PURPOSE OF PROVIDING MONEY FOR THE ACQUISITION AND
BETTERMENT OF VARIOUS MUNICIPAL BUILDINGS INCLUDING A
CITY HALL BUILDING, A PUBLIC WORKS BUILDING, AND A
SATELLITE FIRE STATION?
4. The City Clerk shall cause printed ballots to be prepared
in substantially the form attached hereto as Exhibit A.
5. The City Clerk shall cause notice of election to be given
in the manner required by law by two weeks' publication of notice in
three public and conspicuous places in the City at least ten (10) days
prior to the election. The form of notice of election shall be in
substantially the form attached hereto as Exhibit B.
6. The special election shall be held at the usual polling
places for each precinct as follows:

8:00 o'clock p.m. The persons listed on Exhibit C are appointed as
Judges for the special election.

1979, at 5:30 o'clock p.m. for the purpos~.of canvassing the vote and
determining the results of the special elect' nand taking such other

east of County Road 117 and north of State Highway #5
shall vote at the Chanhassen Elementary School.
Second Precinct:
All qualified registered voters residing west of County
Road 117 shall vote at the Minnetonka West Junior High
School.

All qualified registered voters residing south of State
Highway #5 and east of County Road 117 and the Chanhassen-
