A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FEASIBILITY STUDY AND ORDERING A PUBLIC
HEARING FOR THE BLUFF CREEK DRIVE STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 80-5
BE IT RESOLVED By the City Council of the City of Chanhassen,
Minnesota, as follows:
1.
It is hereby found and determined that Schoell and
Madson, Inc., the consulting engineers for the CitYI
have reported to this Council that a local improvement
as herein described is feasible and may best be made
as proposed, and not in conjunction with any other
improvement, and that the estimated cost of said
improvement to the City is listed below with each
alternate:

Alternate A: Street improvement of full length
of Bluff Creek Drive from County Road 14 to Trunk
Highway No. 212, consisting of the following:
- Urban street section south of Hesse Farm Road,
bituminous surfacing.
- Rural street section north of Hesse Farm Roadl
bituminous surfacing.
- Storm sewer most southerly 1,100 feet.
- Limited sub-grade excavation and fill with
granular pit material.
- Alter grade south of Chicago & Northwestern
Railway Co. right of way, improve sightdistance.
- Misc. grading.
Estimated Cost - $433,900.
Alternate B: Street improvement of Bluff Creek
Drive South of Hesse Farms to Trunk Highway 212,
consisting of the following:

- Urban street section south of Hesse Farm Road,
bituminous surfacing.
- Storm sewer most southerly 1,100 feet.
- Limited sub-grade excavation and fill with
granular pit material.
- Alter grade south of Chicago & northwestern Railway
Co. right of way, improvement sight distance.
- Misc. grading.
Estimated Cost - $292,700.

2. This Council shall meet on the lOth day of November,
1980, at 7:30 p.m. for the purpose of holding a public hearing
on the proposed construction of said improvement.

3. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of
the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two
successive weeks in the Carver County Herald, being the official
newspaper of the City, the first of such publications to be not less
than 10 days and the second not less than 3 days prior to the date
of said meeting, and to be mailed to the owners of the property in
the area proposed to be assessed not less than 10 days prior to the
date of said meeting.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Chanhassen, 6th day of October, 1980.
