The focus of the program will be to provide a variety of classes and learning opportunities for adults age 55 and older at the Senior Center. The Senior Center will be utilizing classes offered through Augsburg College "The College of the Third Age." This program offers older adults the opportunity to expand their minds, to express themselves in creative ways, to develop new interests, to prepare for and experience retirement with anticipation and joy, and to maintain good physical and mental health. This six-class series will be offered at the Chanhassen Senior Center. RECOMMENDA TION It is recommended that the City Council accept the $960 donation from KleinBank Chanhassen to assist with costs for the 2008 Lifelong Learning Program. Approval of this donation requires a simple majority vote of those City Council members present. Upon approval from the Council, staff will send a letter thanking them for their donation and presenting them with a Certificate of Appreciation for their contribution.
