Ordinance 002b1 • CITY OF CHANHASSEN CARVER AND HENNEPIN COUNTIES, MINNESOTA ORDINANCE NO. 2 B AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1, SUBDIVISION 5 , • 6 , and 7. of SECTION 5, and SECTION 15 of the CHANHASSEN INTOXICATING LIQUOR ORDINANCE AS AMENDED. THE CITY OF CHANHASSEN ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Section 1, Subdivisions 5, 6, and 7 of Section 5, and Section 15 of Ordinance No. 2, adopted July 17, 1967, and entitled "An Ordi- nance Licensing and Regulating the Sale and Consumption of Intoxicating Liquor and Providing a Penalty for Violation" and as amended by Ordinance No. 2 A, adopted December 13, 1971, are hereby amended to read as follows: Section 1. Provisions of State Law Adopted. The provisions of the Minnesota Intoxicating Liquor Act, being a part of Minnesota Statues , Chapter 340, and all laws amendatory thereof and supplementary thereto, copies of which are on file in the office of the City Clerk, with reference to the definition of terms , application for license , granting of license , conditions of license, restrictions on consumption, provisions on sales, conditions of bonds or insurance of licnesees , hours of sale , and all other matters pertaining to the retail sale, distribution, and consumption of intoxicating liquor are hereby adopted and made a part of this ordinance as if fully set out herein, except as modified herein. Section S. Subdivision S. No intoxicating liquor shall be sold or furnished or delivered • to any intoxicated person, to any habitual drunkard, to any person under 18 years of age, or to any person to whom sale is prohibited by State law. • Section 5. Subdivision 6. No person under 18 years of age shall be employed in any rooms constituting the place in which intoxicating liquors are sol at retail "on -sale" and no such person shall be allowed to be or remain in any such room unless such person is accompanied by his parent or guardian, except that persons under 18 years of age may be employed as musicians or to perform the duties of a busboy or dishwashing service in places defined as a restaurant or hotel or motel serving food in rooms in which intoxicating liquors are sold at retail "on -sale". Section 5. Subdivision 7. No person under 18 years of age shall be employed at an "off -sale" liquor establishment or to deliver or aid in the delivery of "off -sale" liquor. Section 15. Penalty. Any person violating any provision of this ordinance shall be is guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punish- ed by a fine of not more than Three Hundred ($300.00) Dollars and/or imprisonment for not more than ninety (90) days. • Section 2.
