CITY OF CHANHASSEN
CARVER AND HENNEPIN COUNTIES, MINNESOTA
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2 OF THE CHANHASSEN
CITY CODE CONCERNING ACCEPTANCE OF GIFTS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANHASSEN ORDAINS AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Chapter 2, Article 1, of the Chanhassen City
Code is amended by adding Section 2-2 to read as follows:
2-2 Receipt of Gifts. Gifts to the City with a monetary value
of $500.00 or greater may only be accepted with the
approval of the City Council. The City Council shall
consider the cost of operation and maintenance before it
accepts a gift. Gifts with a monetary value of less than
$500.00 may be accepted on behalf of the City by the City
Manager.
Section 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall become
effective immediately upon its passage and publication.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Chanhassen this
27th day of March , 1989.
