Ordinance 100• • ORDINANCE NO. 100 CITY OF CHANHASSEN CARVER AND HENNEPIN COUNTIES, MINNESOTA AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2 OF THE CHANHASSEN CITY CODE CONCERNING ACCEPTANCE OF GIFTS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANHASSEN ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Chapter 2, Article 1, of the Chanhassen City Code is amended by adding Section 2-2 to read as follows: 2-2 Receipt of Gifts. Gifts to the City with a monetary value of $500.00 or greater may only be accepted with the approval of the City Council. The City Council shall consider the cost of operation and maintenance before it accepts a gift. Gifts with a monetary value of less than $500.00 may be accepted on behalf of the City by the City Manager. Section 2. Effective Date.
