ORDINANCE NO. 233
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14
OF THE CHANHASSEN CITY CODE CONCERNING
ANIMALS TAKEN INTO PARKS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANHASSEN ORDAINS:
Section 1. Section 14-65 of the Chanhassen City Code is amended to read as follows:
No person shall be permitted to take any animal, including but not limited to dogs
and cats, into a park. This prohibition shall not apply to properly harnessed or leashed
service animals, from a recognized service animal training program, assisting blind or
deaf persons or persons with a physical or sensory disability.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage and
publication.
• PASSED AND ADOPTED this 27th day of February , 1995, by the City Council
of the City of Chanhassen.
