ORDINANCE NO.298
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE
CHANHASSEN CITY CODE ELIMINATING
THE POSITION OF PUBLIC SAFETY DIRECTOR
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANHASSEN ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. Section 2-16(6) of the Chanhassen City Code is amended to read:
(6) Department of public safety.
SECTION 2. Exempting Section 2-16(6) as amended by this Ordinance, the
Chanhassen City Code is amended by deleting all reference to "Public Safety Director" and
• replacing it with "the City Manager or City Manager's designee."

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage and
publication.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 10' day of February, 2000, by the City Council of
the City of Chanhassen.
