ORDINANCE NO.304
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 5
OF THE CHANHASSEN CITY CODE
CONCERNING PRIVATE KENNELS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANHASSEN ORDAINS:
SECTION 1 _ Section 5-16 of the Chanhassen City Code is amended by amending the
definition of "private kennel" to read:
Private kennel means anyplace where Either:
• More than two (2) dogs; or
• A combination of four (4) dogs or cats
• over six (6) months of age are kept or harbored, provided such animals are owned by the
owner or lessee of the premises on which they are kept or harbored.
SECTION 2_ This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage and
publication.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 26"' day of June, 2000, by the City Council of the City
Chanhassen.
