AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 7
OF THE CHANHASSEN CITY CODE
CONCERNING THE MINNESOTA STATE BUILDING CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANHASSEN ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. Section 7-18(a) of the Chanhassen City Code is amended in its entirety to
(a) The Minnesota State Building Code, established pursuant to Minnesota
Statutes 16B.59 to 16B.75, is hereby adopted as the building code for the City of
Chanhassen. The code is hereby incorporated in this ordinance as if fully set out herein.
The Minnesota State Building Code includes the following chapters of Minnesota Rules:

SECTION 2. Section 7-18(b) of the Chanhassen City Code is amended to read:
(b) The City of Chanhassen adopts for reference the following optional chapter
of the Minnesota State Building Code: Minnesota Rules Chapter 1306 — Special Fire
Protection Systems, including 1306.0020 Subp. 2 and 1306.0030.
Optional Administration: Minnesota Rules Chapter 1335, Floodproofing
Regulations, Parts 1335.0600 to 1335.1200 are adopted.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage and
publication.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 9th day of July, 2007, by the City Council of the City of
Chanhassen, Minnesota.
