ORDINANCE NO. 74
AN ORDINANCE LICENSING AND REGULATING THE CONDUCT OF BINGO AND
GAMBLING ADOPTING STATE LAW AND PROVIDING FOR A LICENSE AND
LICENSE FEES.
THE CHANHASSEN CITY COUNCIL ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. PROVISIONS OF STATE LAW ADOPTED.
Provisions of State Law Adopted. There is hereby adopted and
incorporated herein by reference, as an ordinance of the City,
the provisions of Chapter 349, Minnesota Statutes, relating to
the operation of gambling devices and the conduct of bingo,
except as such provisions may be made more restrictive by the
following provisions of this ordinance.
SECTION 2. LICENSE REQUIRED.
A. No gambling or bingo occasion shall be conducted
except by an eligible organization which has secured a license
for that purpose.
B. There are two types of licenses which may be issued
by the City:
1. A single or temporary license valid on the dates
specified.
2. An annual license which will expire one year after
the date of issuance, and may be suspended or
revoked for any violation of the ordinance.
SECTION 3. LICENSE FEES.
All bingo/gambling license applications must be accompanied
by the appropriate fee. Said fees shall be established by reso-
lution of the City Council.
SECTION 4. EFFECTIVE DATE.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its date of passage, adoption and publication according to
law.
