ORDINANCE NO. 78
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AN ADMINISTRATIVE CODE FOR THE
CITY OF CHANHASSEN, ESTABLISHING DEPARTMENT AND OFFICERS
The Chanhassen City Council ordains:
1.01. There is hereby established the following City Departments
and Officers:
A. General Administration - City Manager/City Clerk.
B. Department of Park and Recreation - Park and Recreation
Coordinator.
C. Department of Finance - City Treasurer, Account Clerk.
D. Planning Department - Planner, Assistant City Planner.
Ei Department of Public Works - Director of Public
Works/City Engineer.
40 F. Department of Public Safety - Public Safety Director.
G. Building Department - Building & Zoning Official.
H. Such other Departments and Officers as established by
State Law or City Ordinance.
1.02. Organization Structure.
The Organizational Chart for all positions in all
Departments of the City shall be established from time to
time by City Council Resolution and shall be set forth in
the City's Position Classification and Compensation
Program.
1.03. Each Officer shall perform all duties required of his
office by State law, City Ordinance and City Council
Resolution. City Council Resolutions establishing duties
shall be set forth in the "Job Descriptions" contained in
the City Position Classification and Compensation Program.
The City Manager may prescribe additional duties not in
conflict with State Law, City Ordinance or Council
Resolution.
• 1.04. This ordinance shall be effective upon its passage and
publication according to law.
