AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE V, SECTION 11 (4) OF THE CHANHASSEN
ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 80, ADOPTED FEBRUARY 19, 1987
THE CITY COUNCIL OF CHANHASSEN ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. Article V, Section 11, (4) Conditional Uses in the
BH, Highway and Business Service District, of Zoning Ordinance
No. 80, as adopted and amended heretofore, is hereby amended to
read as follows:
5. Auto Service Centers
SECTION 2. Article II, Definitions, of the Zoning Ordinance No.
80, as adopted and amended heretofore, is hereby amended to add
the following definition:
"An integrated group of commercial establishments, or single
establishments planned, developed, and managed as a unit with
off street parking provided on site and providing uses
engaged primarily in the supplying of goods and services
generally required in the operation and maintenance of motor
vehicles. These may include sale and servicing of tires,
batteries, automotive accessories, replacement items, washing
• and lubricating services, and the performance of minor auto-
motive maintenance and repair. This does not include major
body repair where it is necessary to provide long term
storage of cars and body parts."
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective from and
after the date of its passage and official publication.
Passed and adopted by the Chanhassen City Council this 11th
day of January, 1988.
