A RESOLUTION RESCHEDULING THE PUBLIC HEARING AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY ENGINEER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS ON THE CARVER BEACH
DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 81-4
BE IT RESOLVED By the City Council of the City of
Chanhassen, Minnesota, as follows:
1). That the public hearing for the Carver Beach Drainage
Imrpovement Project 81-4 is hereby rescheduled for August 17,
1982 at 7:30 p.m. before the Chanhassen City Council.
2). That the Clerk is authorized and directed to cause
notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be
published for two successive weeks in the Carver County Herald,
being the official newspaper of the City, the first of such
publications to be not less than 10 days and the second not
less than 3 days prior to the date of said meeting, and to be
mailed to the owners of the property in the area proposed to be
assessed not less than 10 days prior to the date of said
meeting.
3). That the City Manager and City Engineer shall receive
bids at 10:30 a.m. on September 9, 1981, at City Hall in the
City of Chanhassen and the City Council shall consider the bids
at their next regular meeting. This for the purpose of
receiving and considering sealed bids for the construction of
said improvement, and the Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to cause notice of said meeting to be published in the
official newspaper and in the Construction Bulletin, published
in Minneapolis, Minnesota, once at least three weeks prior to
the date of said meeting, which notice shall specify the time
and place of the meeting, and the nature of the work, that
sealed bids for said work must be received by the City Clerk
prior to the time of said meeting, accompanied by a cashier's
check or certified check or bid bond in the amount of at least
5% of the respective bid, that the Council reserves the right
to hold such bids for a period of 40 days without explanation
and to waive any informalities.

4). That the City Engineer shall prepare construction alter-
natives for partial completion of the project using city main-
tenance personnel or other means to complete the project at a
lesser cost. Further, that such usage of day labor shall be
considered by the City Council as an alternative to formal bids
if such can expedite the completion of this project.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Chanhassen, Minnesota, this 3rd day of August, 1982.

9. That the City Manager is hereby directed to file a
copy of this resolution and a copy of the Amended Plan Booklet with
the minutes of the City Council and with the State Planning Agency.
~ That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to
re~uest the auditor of Hennepin County to certify the original assessed
value of Tax Increment District No. 2 as enlarged by this resolution.
11. That it is hereby found and determined that no persons or
businesses will be displaced or re-10cated as a result of the approval
of and execution of the Tax Increment Financing Plan set forth in the
Amended Plan Booklet.
12. That the Municipality hereby does not elect the
method of tax increment computation set forth in Section 273.76,
Subd. 3, clause (b) of Minnesota Statutes.
13. That the Municipality hereby states its intention to use all
of the captured assessed value for purposes of tax increment financing.
