A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR
LAKE DRIVE EAST IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 89-6
WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required
by law, the Council has met and heard and passed upon all
objections to the proposed assessment for Lake Drive East, Project
89-6.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
CHANHASSEN, MINNESOTA:
1. Such proposed assessment, a copy of which is
attached hereto and made a part hereof, is hereby
accepted and shall constitute the special
assessment against the lands named therein, and
each tract of land therein included is hereby found
to be benefitted by the proposed improvement in the
amount of the assessment levied against it.
2.
Such assessment shall be payable in equal annual
principal installments extending over a period of
eight (8) years and shall bear interest at the rate
of 8.0% per annum from the date of the adoption of
this assessment resolution. To the first
installment, due in 1992, shall be added interest
on the entire assessment from the date of this
resolution until December 31, 1991. To each
subsequent installment when due shall be added
interest for one year on all unpaid installments.
3. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any
time prior to certification of the assessment to
the county auditor, pay the whole or partial
payment of the assessment on such property with no
interest charged if paid within 30 days from the
adoption of this resolution; and they may, at any
time thereafter, pay to the ci ty treasurer the
entire principal balance of the assessment
remaining unpaid. As such payments are made,
current annual amounts certified at the county
shall remain payable as part of the property tax
process.
4.
The clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified
duplicate of this assessment to the county auditor
to be extended on the property tax lists. of the
county, and such assessments shall be collected and

paid over in the same manner as other municipal
taxes.
Passed and adopted by the Chanhassen City Council this
14th day of October, 1991.

The city Council will hold a public hearing to consider proposed
assessments for Improvement Project No. 89-6 on Monday, August 26,
1991 at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 690 Coulter Drive,
Chanhassen, Minnesota. The area to be assessed includes the
fOllowing:
Commencing at the northwest corner of the north half of
the northwest quarter, section 18, Township 116, Range
22; thence east along the north line for 1069.34 feet;
thence south 317 feet; thence east 360 feet; thence north
to the north line of the quarter section; thence east to
the northeast corner; thence south to the southeast
corner; thence west to the southwest corner; thence to
the point of beginning except highway and cartway.
The total amount of the proposed assessment is $521,236.00

Hall, 690 Coulter Drive, P.O. Box 147, Chanhassen, Minnesota,
55317, Attention: Treasurer. Please indicate the parcel number
on your check. Partial prepayment of the assessment is permitted
during the 30-day period following the assessment hearing.

If you elect not to pay the full amount within thirty (30) days
after the hearing date, the assessment will be spread over 8 years
with installments appearing on your real estate taxes beginning
next year. Interest will be included at the rate of 8 percent of
the unpaid balance.
