City of Chanhassen Carver and Hennepin counties, Minnesota DATE: November 19. 1990 RESOLUTION NO: 90-148A MOTION BY: Dimler Workman SECONDED BY: A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 90-136 ESTABLISHING A SENIOR COMMISSION WHEREAS, the City council has undertaken a Senior Needs Study in conjunction with the Senior Needs Task Force; and WHEREAS, the report developed by the Senior Needs Task Force has identified a large and growing segment of the city's population who are seniors and who have or will have special needs; and WHEREAS, it is beli~ved that the most effective means of developing these issues and city responses while providing information and support for the City Council is to create a Senior commission. WHEREAS, members of the Senior Commission shall reside in the community and be 55 years of age or older. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Chanhassen creates a 7 member Senior commission comprised of residents over the age of 55 to serve in an advisory capacity and report back to the City council on matters of importance to our community seniors.
