Vacation of Drainage and Utility Easements
PROPOSED MOTION
"The City Council approves a resolution vacating the drainage and utility easement
located on Lots 5 and 6 ofChanhassen Lakes Business Park 5th Addition."
City Council approval requires a simple majority vote of the City Council
present.
BACKGROUND
The City of Chanhassen is requesting the vacation of drainage and utility easements
across Lots 5 and 6 of Chanhassen Lakes Business Park 5th Addition. This easement was
dedicated on the plat ofChanhassen Lakes Business Park 5th Addition back in 1985.
While reviewing the files from 1985, a document was discovered in the file dated 1986
which shows the sanitary sewer in this easement being abandoned in the future. See
attachment. The sanitary sewer which was located in this easement was removed last fall
with the construction of the building pad.
Gopher State One Locates show no evidence of any public or private utilities within this
portion of the proposed vacation area therefore, the drainage and utility easement is not
needed.
