PROPOSED MOTION
"The City Council approves the attached resolution entitled MnDOT
Community Roadside Landscaping Partnership Program Authorization
Resolution, State Project 1009-969A (TH 101=187)."
City Council approval requires a simple majority vote of City Council.
DISCUSSION
Staff is requesting approval for the Community Roadside Landscape Partnership
Grant Agreement from the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT)
that will fund a neighborhood landscape project along State Highway 10 1. This
project is a continuation of last spring's planting project in the same area. The
resolution is necessary for reimbursement.
The project will be installed this May by neighborhood residents, City staff and
MNDOT staff. The total costs for plants and other materials will be reimbursed
in full from MnDOT after project completion.
RECOMMENDA TION
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the following motion:
"The City Council approves the attached resolution entitled MnDOT Community
Roadside Landscaping Partnership Program Authorization Resolution, State Project
1009-969A(TH 101=187)."

STATE PROJECT 1009-969A (TH 101=187)
BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Chanhassen enter into Mn/DOT Agreement
No. 94050 with the State of Minnesota, Department of Transportation for the following
purposes:
To provide for 'payment by the State to the City of the State's share of the acquisition
costs of the landscape material to be placed along and adjacent to Trunk Highway
No. 101 from 500 feet south of 86th Street to Mission Hills Lane within the corporate City
limits under State Project No. 1009-969A (T.H. 101=187).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Manager are authorized to
execute the Agreement and any amendments to the Agreement.
