The hu~t time these fees were raised was in 2001. I am rccommcu~ tluu: thc park dedication fcc bc increased sgain for 2003. In sddifion, I am recommending that ~ ~ and U'uil fees, currently being assessed independently, be combined into one park dedication fee. The existmace of two tides for essentially the same fee results in ummcessary confusion in the developm~t ~. Lastly, I am reeomtmndiug that City Code bc emended to specify that park dedication, or an equivalent amount in cash, be collected at thc time of sulxlivision approval. Ctu~nfly the City collects one4hird of park dedication fees in cash at thc time of subdivision at~m3val, with ~ rffmaind~ being collected at the time of building permit approval.
