PROPOSED MOTION
"The City Council is recommended to vacate the drainage and utility easements
on Lots 9 and 10, Block 1, Highcrest Meadows as shown on the survey
prepared by Westwood Professional Services dated January 13,2009.
City Council approval requires a simple majority vote of the City Council
present. "
BACKGROUND
On January 23, 2009 an administrative subdivision was approved which changed
the orientation of the common lot line between Lots 9 and 10, Block 1, Highcrest
Meadows.
Project area
The City of Chanhassen · A growing community with clean lakes, quality schools, a charming downtown, thriving businesses, winding trails, and beautiful parks. A great place to live, work, and play.
"Parcel A" represents the newly described Lot 9 and "Parcel B" as Lot I O. The lot line
adjustment was necessary so that the type of home that Pulte Homes is building on Parcel A will
comply with the maximum impervious surface requirement.

As a result of the lot line adjustment Pulte Homes has requested that the platted drainage and
utility easement between Lots 9 and lObe vacated and replaced with a 10- foot wide drainage and
utility easement centered over the new common lot line.
Gopher State One Locates show no evidence of any public or private utilities within the
proposed vacation area.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Chanhassen City Council will hold a public
hearing on Monday, March 9, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Chanhassen City
Hall, 7700 Market Boulevard. The purpose of this hearing is to consider the request of Pulte
Homes of Minnesota, LLC for the vacation of a drainage and utility easement on Lots 9 and 10,
Block 1, Highcrest Meadows.
A legal description and drawing of the proposed vacation area are available for public
review at City Hall during regular business hours.
All interested persons are invited to attend this public hearing and express their opinions
with respect to this proposal.
