Guest Presentation from Angie Johnson, Carver County Assessor
BACKGROUND
The City of Chanhassen contracts with the Carver County Assessor's Office to
perform property assessing duties for parcels within the City of Chanhassen.
In 2007, we entered into a 3-year agreement to engage in the Open Book Process,
whereby residents or businesses who wish to question their property valuation do
so with County staff, rather than appearing before the local Board of Appeal and
Equalization. Feedback on this process has been positive.
Angie Johnson, Carver County Assessor, will be present to discuss Chanhassen
property value changes for 2009.
