SUBJ:
Request for Off-Sale 3.2 Beer License; Kwik Trip, Inc. dba Kwik
Trip #492; 8921 Crossroads Boulevard
PROPOSED MOTION:
"The City Council approves an off-sale 3.2 beer license for the new Kwik
Trip store at 8921 Crossroads Boulevard."
Approval requires a simple majority vote of those City Council members
present.
This office has received a request for an off-sale 3.2 beer license from Kwik Trip
for their new store at 8921 Crossroads Boulevard (comer of Highway 212 and
TH 101). Construction has begun on the building and it is expected to open in
late August.
Law Enforcement has completed background investigations on Donald Zietlow,
President and Steven Zietlow, Secretary of Kwik Trip, Inc.; and Nathan Ward,
Operating Manager of the store and no negative comments were found. These
investigations included criminal history, driving records, and outstanding
warrants.
A public hearing is not required for a 3.2 off-sale license. Kwik Trip currently
operates another store in Chanhassen at 2201 West 78th Street and no incidents
have been reported at that location.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval of the off-sale 3.2-beer license request from Kwik
Trip, Inc. for their new store at 8921 Crossroads Boulevard.
