TO: Paul Oehme, Public Works Director/City Engineer ""1( FROM: Alyson Fauske, Assistant City Engineer ~~/ DATE: December 14, 2009 oI~ SUBJECT: Chanhassen Transit Station, Planning Case File No. 09-18: Vacation Drainage and Utility Easements PROPOSED MOTION "The City Council is recommended to vacate a portion of the drainage and utility easement per Document Number 30100 and to vacate the drainage and utility easement per Document Number 30101, as shown on the survey prepared by Egan, Field & Nowak. Approval is contingent upon filing the Chanhassen Station final plat and execution of a temporary construction easement. City Council approval requires a super majority vote of the City Council present. BACKGROUND Existing public watermain currently extends west from Great Plains Boulevard and lies south of the Chanhassen Dinner Theater. Public sanitary sewer extends from the west and currently terminates on the east side of the Chanhassen Dinner Theater scene shop. Two utility easements were granted in 1976 and encompass the existing sanitary sewer and watermain. One easement (shown in red) is proposed to be vacated in its entirety.
