We really appreciated all of the love, support, and efforts of so many people. Om' office received a letter from a yom~g lady complimenting Chanhassen DepuW Eric Kittelson. September 24: I was pulled over on Saturday, September 14 at about 11:30 pm for running a stop sign at highway 101 and county road 18 (Chanhassen). The Deputy treated me professionally. He called my parents and I was reprimanded. I got my car taken mvay and I am grounded. Looking back, I'm ve~, glad I was pulled over before another mistake hurt me or someone else. In the future, I will pay more attention. Our office received a thank you letter fi'om Denise De Mars. Denise is the training coordinator for the MN State fire Marshal's Office and the B.C.A. Denise coordinated a training course for police and fire investigators. The training included a house bm2~. Chanhassen Detective Roger Roatch was a role player in the house bum scenario. Denise had this to say about Roger. August 27: Investigator Roger Roatch agreed to be one of the "bad guys" for this class and spent the day playing the various roles of his fire scene. Roger's performance was outstanding! He also took frequent brea~ to critique the pro~ess of the interviewers and offered advice as to how they could improve their effectiveness. Of course, I already thanked Roger in person for his assistance, but wanted to let you know how much he helped investigators from all over the state sharpen their skills. He is a talented and generous person. Sincerely, Denise R. De Mars - Deputy State Fire Marshal - Training Coordinator
