SUBJ: Carver County License Center BACKGROUND One of the Council's adopted KFS Goals for 2010 was to "Work with Carver County to expand utilization of Carver County License Center." City staff has used a variety of communication tools to promote the License Center since it opened in 2009. They include: • City's website — "What's New ?" section • City's Facebook page — recent example attached • Electronic Message Center • Chanhassen Connection — copy attached • Utility Bills — copies attached City staff created a handout for the many people who come to City Hall looking for the License Center: g Carver County Service Center 7808 Kerber Blvd. 952 - 361 -3900 Take a right out of our parking lot. Take a right at West 78' Street. Go one block west to Kerber Blvd. Turn left on Kerber Blvd. The license center will be on the right. Mon. & Wed., 8:30 am -6 pm, Passports 8:30 am - 5pm Tue., Thurs., & Fri., 8:30.am -5.pm, Passports 8:30 am -4p Additionally, the License Center is now being used as an absentee polling place, which will increase residents' awareness of its location and availability. Staff has requested information from Carver County about the usage levels of the License Center, and it will be provided to the City Council at the work session.
