MEMORANDUM
To: Mayor
City Council
From: Scott Harr, Public Safety Director S'1V
Date: February 13, 1997
Subject: Fire Inspector & Fire Marshal Job Description Clarification
In signing Fire Marshal Mark Littfin and Fire Inspector Greg Hayes up for the Police & Fire PERA, it
was brought to our attention that the City is required to provide a resolution indicating that they respond
to fires. This is merely intended to indicate they are not strictly volunteers. While Fire Marshal Littfin's
job description indicates this, and Greg's was posted, in the various re- writes of the Fire
Inspector/Training Coordinator position, it inadvertently was left out.
Therefore, the staff recommendation is that the job descriptions for both of them include responding to
fires.
