The notice advised them of "administrative hearing" to be held on April 15 i j, 01 City Council Chambers by the County Assessor's Office. That hearing was held and afipirox ately 100 people filed appeals to their ' market value. Although the "administrative h #frog" held on April 15, the official appeals process does not start until the City Council c t mselves as the Board of Review — ' tonight's meeting. Following convening as die Board eview, the Council must request if there are any additional persons wishing taappeal their ation. Monday evening, therefore, becomes the last date which an appeal ca�fficially be prgented. The Board then typically closes the hearing and publicly states th the Board will reconvene on May 20 and take action to ' confirm or modify the County Assesr's evaluation for eacitof the parcels for which an appeal has been filed. As of this date, the assessor has reviewed ov 50% of the appeals filed during ' .�„ the administrative hearing and will have all appeals reviewed prior to the date of reconvening to take final action. , " 4' ... .... ... ..._ ' Recommendation recommended fat the\Iaoao�unce that the Council is officially convening as the bo d of Review.
