BOX 147 • CHANHASSEN, MINNESOTA 55317 (612) 937 -1900 • FAX (612) 937 -5739 TO: Charles Folch, Director of Public Works /City Engineer FROM: Anita Benson, Project Engineer DATE: October 29, 1996 SUBJ: Accept Street and Storm Sewer Improvements in The Woods at Longacres Project No. 93 -28 Staff has received a getter from Mr. Ken Adolf, Project Engineer with Schoell & Madson, Inc., requesting the City consider acceptance of the public street and strom sewer improvements in the above - referenced project. According to Mr. Adolf, the public street and storm sewer improvements have been completed in accordance with the approved plans and specifications. Staff performed a walk - through inspection of the project and found that all punchlist items have been completed by the contractor. It is therefore recommended that the City Council accept the public streets and storm sewer in The Woods at Longacres, Project No. 93 -28, for perpetual maintenance and ownership conditioned upon the contractor supplying the City with an acceptable maintenance bond guaranteeing the streets and storm sewer for a two -year period commencing on the date of acceptance. Box 147 Chanhassen, MN 55317 Subject: The Woods At Longacres Dear Dave: Based on our discussions with Bill Bement, we understand that all the punch list items on The Woods At Longacres have been completed except furnishing the manhole chimney seals. Widmer Inc., the contractor, will provide the maintenance bond and deliver the chimney seals by Friday, October 18, 1996. On behalf of Lundgren Bros. Construction, we are requesting that the public streets now be accepted by the City, and that the warranty period start. Please contact me with any questions.
