SUBJ: Accept Street and Storm Sewer Improvements in The Woods at Longacres
Project No. 93 -28
Staff has received a getter from Mr. Ken Adolf, Project Engineer with Schoell & Madson, Inc.,
requesting the City consider acceptance of the public street and strom sewer improvements in the
above - referenced project. According to Mr. Adolf, the public street and storm sewer improvements
have been completed in accordance with the approved plans and specifications. Staff performed a
walk - through inspection of the project and found that all punchlist items have been completed by the
contractor.
It is therefore recommended that the City Council accept the public streets and storm sewer in The
Woods at Longacres, Project No. 93 -28, for perpetual maintenance and ownership conditioned upon
the contractor supplying the City with an acceptable maintenance bond guaranteeing the streets and
storm sewer for a two -year period commencing on the date of acceptance.

Dear Dave:
Based on our discussions with Bill Bement, we understand that all the punch list

chimney seals. Widmer Inc., the contractor, will provide the maintenance bond and
deliver the chimney seals by Friday, October 18, 1996. On behalf of Lundgren Bros.
Construction, we are requesting that the public streets now be accepted by the City,
and that the warranty period start. Please contact me with any questions.
Very truly yours,
