A similar request had been made in the late 1970's and :denied. The denial appears to have been made of the basis of the city council not kno wing if the parcel could be used by the city in the future, i.e. satellite fire station, utility building, etc. Since that time, various easements have virtually taken any of the usable areas on the property, i.e'txpansion of right -of -way for County 17, sewer and water easements, and a landscape easement ©btained by the City of Chaska. Construction of a satellite fire station, utility structure, etc., at this point in time, would be virtually impossible. ' The value of the property really only exists if it is repurchased by the Deglers.
