Approve Resolution for Highway 212 IRC Plan
REQUESTED ACTION
Adopt the attached resolution supporting the Highway 212 Interregional Corridor
Plan.
DISCUSSION
The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) in cooperation with
government agencies along the new alignment of Highway 212 has prepared an
Interregional Corridor Plan.
A copy of the final draft of the plan has been reviewed by staff and is on file in
the City Engineer's Office.
MnDOT has requested that communities along the corridor adopt a resolution
supporting the plan. The specific impacts to the City of Chanhassen are related to
noise attenuation and set backs from the roadway. Both are in keeping with the
planning and zoning practices already in place in the City.
