SUBJ: Accept Sanitary Sewer and Water Improvements in Shenandoah Ridge
Project No. 93 -20
Fci rr Y r ; "d?11RIS fHfJr
Staff has received a letter from Mr. Todd McLouth, Project Engineer with John Oliver &
Associates, Inc., requesting the City consider acceptance of the public utility improvements in
the above - referenced project. According to Mr. McLouth, the public utility improvements have
been completed in accordance with the approved plans and specifications including the first lift
of bituminous asphalt. The public utility improvements have been tested and approved by City
staff. Staff has performed a walk- through inspection of the project and found that some minor
adjustments are required by the contractor prior to final acceptance by the City. For the record,
the utility portion of the project shall include only the watermain and sanitary sewer system. The
storm sewer and ponding facilities shall be considered for acceptance upon completion of the
final wear course (streets) in 1995.
It is therefore recommended that the City Council accept the public utilities in Shenandoah Ridge,
Project No. 93 -20, for perpetual maintenance and ownership conditioned upon the contractor
completing any outstanding punch 'list items by December 15 1994.
