The Village Council of Chanhassen, i4innesota met in ro7ula.r meeting,
Wednesday January 6th. 1965. Mayor Coulter opened the meeting, and at
which time sug7ested that the Pledge to the flag be said before every
meeting. The first order of business was to appoint a new clerk, to take
the place of August Sinnen, the retireing clerk of forty-three years,
Ronald Roeser (councilman) made the motion and seconded by councilman
Hanson that iiay tlir7elhutz be appointed Village Clerk for an indefinite
period of time. (lotion carried. No nes;. Votes.
A .notion made by Councilman Pauly and seconded by councilman Hanson
that Councilman Adolph Tessness be an•-)ointed acting mayor, in case the
mayor is unable to act as -mayor for any unforseen reasons. %lotion carried .

Salaries... Reference to (Handbook for 14inn. Villa<res Page 127) All
Villa.Tes not oualifying for .higher salaries Faust pay the ,ma�Tox at l a.st
X15.00 -,oer month and each trustee (or councilman) at least 10•.00 per
month. These minimums are, set by law; neither council action nor voter
approval is needed before they are paid..
The treasurers salaryiis to be the same as a councilman of X120.00
The clerks salary also to remain the same as previous. 17-ea.r of NMOO.00.

A motion made by councilman Tessness and. seconded by councilman Pauly
that the Chaska Weekly Valley Hearld be appointed the official Village
newspaper. TJIotion carried. No neg. votes.
A motion made by councilman Hanson and seconded by councilman Roeser
that the State Bank of Chanhassen be appointed the official-VIllaxe wank
for Depository of all Village money, --It was noted at this tine that
councilman Pauly is a Stockholder and Director of said 3-a.nk and also Mayor
Coulter is a Stockholder in said. Bank. As the State Eank of Chanhassen is
the only bank in Chanhassen Village it will still be legal to have said.
Bank as Depository for Villa -e money. Motion carried. No neg votes.
A {notion made by councilman Hanson and seconded by councilman Roeser
that the Village continue their insurance with the Schneider insurance
Agency as in Previous yea.r. Kotion carried. No neg. votes.
A motion made by councilman Hanson and seconded by councilman Roeser
that Robert's Rules of Order be adopted as Village by-laws. :,lotion ca.r•ried..

A motion made by councilman Tessenss and. seconded. by councilman Roeser
that every second and fourth Thursday of every month be set aside for

that the Shakopee :Iedical Center be aopoint�d the Village Health Officiers.
(This motion is in effect only a.nd until a doctor becomes a Villa.,e
businessman, and at such time this doctor .-could be appointed. Health Officier)

A motion made by councilman Tessness and seconded by councilman Roeser
that councilman Walter Hanson ar_d. Emil Pauly be aprointed Village Health
officiers as in previous ,year. lAotion carried. No neg. Votes.
A motion made by councilman Tessness and seconded by councilman Danson
that tne Village a,r)point Valley 1_n;Tineers at Shakopee as Village Engineers.

that Roger Pauly Attorney be appointed Village Attorney as in previous ,year.

that Vern Zeta.h be appointed Village 1�1lldin_x Inspector as in previous ear.
Motion carried. No neg. votes.
A notion made by councilman Manson and seconded by councilman Pauly
that the a7enda system be adopted. for all Villa. --e meetings. Notion carried.
No neg. votes.,.
A motion made by councilman Tessness and seconded by councilman Hanson
that the Villac,pe bond VillaTe Clerk for qY-9000.00 - Treasurer ';2,000.00 and
a blan'tet bond for all councilman and Villa e employees ('11,000.00 each]

At this time the Village has on order a, Police car from Jordon Ford.. A
motion was made by councilman Hanson and seconded by councilman Roeser that
the State Lank of Chanhassen finance Police car for three years. -lotion
carried. No neg. votes.
A motion m a.de by councilman.Tessness and seconded by councilman Pauly
that Bernard Schneider order numbered checks for Village payments. Kotion
carried.. No neg. votes.
It was mentioned at this time to check with the League of,14unicipalities
about Receipt book and Purchase orders.
All bills due were read and on motion made by councilman Hanson and
seconded by councilman Tessness all bills be paid except Paper Ca.lmuson, which
was tabled.
A motion made by councilman Hanson and seconded. by councilman Pauly that
the meeting be adjourned.
