1965 03 24I1 MINUTES OF THE MARCH 24th, 1965 COUNCIL riLETING The Village Council of Chanhassen Minnesota met in regular meeting March 24th' 1965 at 7:30 PM at'the Village Hall. The following members were present ---Mayor Couliter, Councilman Hanson; Councilman Roeser, Councilman Tessness and Treasurer Harold Kerber, Councilman Pauly was absent`. Mayor Coulter opened the meeting with the Pledge to the flag. The minutes of the last meeting were read and on a motion made by councilman Tessness and seconded Hanson that the minutes be approved as read. MOTION CARRIED. NO NEGATIVE VOTES. Mayor Coulter suggested that an inspection be made of each manhole in the Village to check for seepage before May lstk. April 7, 8, 91 & 10th the League of Municipalities is holding a sewer and water school at the university, a nd it is planned at this time that the Village Maintenance man Francis Klein will be able to attend. Mr. Ray Dietz --Village Assessor was present-. He reported on the assessors school which he attended. He is to begin assessing the Village April lst. and have assessments completed by June lst�. 1965. The Village Council will try to set up the equalization meeting the first week in June. The Chanhassen Planning Commission held a meeting on March 23rd at 7:00 PM Councilman Tessness, Council representative on the Planning Commission read the minutes. On recommendation by the Planning Commission that the Village Council adopt the State Plumbing and electrical Code.,. On a motion made by councilman Tessness and seconded by councilman Hanson that the Village adopt the State Plumbing and Electrical Codek: MOTION CARRIED. NO NEGATIVE VOTES, Councilman Tessness also informed the Council that the public hearing of the Planning Commission to study and consider the special use permit for Coulter's Drive --In will be held April 6, 1965 at 8:00 PMS: On a motion made by councilman Tessness and seconded by councilman Hanson that when a request is made for a SPECIAL USE PERMIT a #25.00 deposit be made by applicant. If this permit.is approved.the-depoeit is to be applied to the building permit on said locationff and if dissaproved the deposit is to be refunded. MOTION CARRIED. NO NEGATIVE VOTES. On a motion made by councilman Hanson and seconded by councilman Roeser that anyone securing a building permit must have major construction underway within 90 days after securing a building permit, or building permit will be cancelled and no refunds will be made. MOTION CARRIED. NO NEGATIVE VOTES. On a motion made by councilman Hanson and seconded by eouncilman Tessness that the Village amend ORDINANCE # 48 SECTION 2 to read as follows: Every private club or public place desiring to allow the consumption or display of intoxicating liquor shall on or before July lst, of each year pay to the Village Treasurer a fee not to exceed 0300.00(. This fee shall be set yearly at the April meeting of the Village Counci A written receipt shall be issued by the Village Councils. ETCF.
