1965 04 08MINUTES OF APRIL 8th. 19659 COUNCIL MEETING 13 The Village Council of Chanhassen Minnesota-, met in regular meeting April 89 1965 at 7:30 PM at the Village Hall. All members present.exeept Councilman Tessness who arrived a 7:50 PMCouncilman Roeser asked council permission to be excused at 8:30 PSP". Mayor Coulter opened the meeting with'the Pledge to the flag. The minutes of the last meeting were read and on a motion made by councilman Pauly and seconded by councilman Hanson that the minutes be approved as read. MOTION CARRIED. NO NEGATIVE VOTES. The council had planned to send Francis Klein --Villa ge Maintenance man to the Sewage School at the University April 7 -10th`, but due to spring break-up the council felt he was needed more.in the Village to maintain water drainage and etc: Mr. Ray Dietz Village Assessor assured the council that the Village Council would get a set of tax books in the near future to keep in the Village Office?. On a motion made by councilman Tessness and seconded by councilman Roeser that anyone making application for a special usage or rezoining permit pay all publication costs. MOTION CARRIED. NO NEGATIVE VOTES. The clerk was asked to send a letter to the Chanhassen Legion Post #580 and the Riviera Club, stating that at the April 22nd. council meeting the council will be setting the bottle club license fees for 1965, and ask them to please attend this meeting and give their opinions Mayor Coulter attended the meeting in Waconia, pretaining to the United Fund and at which time he was informed that Chanhassen Village was placed in the Hennepin County United Fund. This is not the wishes of the council, they endorse the Carver County United Fund and therefore wishes Chanhassen Village stay in the Carver County United Fund?: The Planning Commission held a public hearing on the application for a special use permit. The clerk read the minutes of the meeting. On a motion madd by councilman Hanson and seconded by councilman Pauly that the Village Council grant Eugene Coulter a special usage permit to erect a drive-in restaurant on said property: That part of the NES of NES of Section 13. T116NF. R23W9 Carver County Minnesota, lying Southerly of the Southeasterly Right-of-way line of Chicago Milwaukee St-. Paul & Pacific Railroad and Northerly of the Northwesterly Right-of-way line of New Trunk Highway #5. (with exceptions) MOTION CARRIED, NO NEGATIVE VOTES. On a motion made by councilman Tessness and seconded by councilman Hanson that the Village Council approve the building permit for Eugene Coulter's Drive-in restaurant, on the above listed property. MOTION CARRIED. NO NEGATIVE VOTES. On a motion made by councilman Hanson and seconded by councilman Pauly that the Village allocate enough money necessary for Mr. Earl McAllister to attend the Fire School, MOTION CARRIED. NO NEGATIVE VOTES. (Continued) 14 (continued) On a motion made by councilman Tessness and seconded by council- man Pauly that the cash bond of a licensed plumber be raised from %500`.00 to $2,000.00 as so states in ordinance #28 SECTION 5Y, MOTION CARRIED.
