The Village Council of Chanhassen, Minnesota met in regular meeting
June 24, 1965 at 8:00 PM at the Village Hall',
The following members were present: Councilman Tessnessf Councilman
Pauly and Mayor Coulter.
The following members were absent: Councilman'Paulyl� Councilman
Roeser and Treasurer'Harold Kerber.
Mayor Coulter presided at the meeting.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and on a'motion made by
Councilman Hanson and seconded by councilman Tessness the minutes be approved
as read. Motion carried. No neg. votes.
The engineer presented a tabulation of the bids received at the June
17 meeting. After consideration of said bids, douncilman Tessness intro-
duced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
A;gAF�DING CONTRACTS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF WATERWORKS IMPROVEMENT NO.
1965-1 DETERMINING TOTAL COST AND CALLING FOR THE SALE OF BONDS.
Councilman Hanson 2aconds that motion. Motion carried. No
neg votes.

SEWAGE REPORT:
Councilman Hanson reports that the X-RAY unit is at Chaska and would
like to hire them to take pictures of our present sewer lines, to determine
whether we have any leaks. The Council ap-)roves,. Mayor Coulter instructed
Councilma'M Hanson to notify M. B. Hagen when these pictures will be taken.
WEED ORDINANCE:
On a motion made by councilman Hanson and seconded by councilman
Tessness that Chanhassen Village adopt WEED ORDINANCE #56°. Motion carried
no neg votea. Clerk to prepare ordinance for publications.
Mayor Coulter instructed Francis Klein to remove Flasher light at
intersection #101 by the church. He is to remove only one light, the one
facing south in the flasher.
Complaints have been made that a sweet odor has been coming from
Chanhassen Feed & Impl Store, Mayor Coulter instructed Francis Klein to
check into it,,
The Village Coulcil authorizes Francis Klein to check into the purchas-
ing of a tar kettle.
The Village Council received a letter from Mr. Bernard Schneider'p
president of the Planning Commission. In said letter he stated his formal
resignation from the Planning Commission. (Letter filed in Planners file)
A new Planning Commission was named at this meeting. The new members
are as follows:
Ken Erickson Co. Chairman
Gayle Wolff
Sargent Palmer
Mark Littfin
Adolph Tessness

Mgyor Coulter would like to see an area wide planning commission includ-
ing someone from Greenwood Shores, Sunrise Hills and Bloomberg Addition.
On a motion made by Councilman Tessness and. seconded by councilman
Hanson that 0300.00 be loaned to the water fund from the General Fund
until bond is received. When thb bond is received this 4300.00 is to
be put back into'the General Fund, Motion Carried. No neg. votes.
On a motion made by councilman Hanson and seconded by the chair Mayor
Coulter that..Wally Hanson's building be rented for Village Equipment
for a fee of #60.00 a month, for an indifinite period of time. Effect-
ive July 1, 1965. I -lotion carried. No neg votes.
