1965 07 08MINUTES OF THE JULY 8,1965 COUNCIL MEETING 31 The Village Council of Chanhassen, Minnesota met in regular session July 8°, 1965 at 8:00 PM at the Village Hall. The following members were present: Mayor Coulter, Councilman Roeser, & Councilman Pauly,, The following members'were absent: Councilman Tessness and Councilman Hanson, Mayor Coulter presided at the meeting: The minutes of the Jute 2;1965 council meeting were read and on a motion made by councilman Pauly and seconded by councilman Roeser the minutes.be approved as read. Motion carried. No neg. votes. Mr. Bob Reichert representing the Chanhassen Township Planning Commission was present. He asked the Council to please let him know when the Chanhassen Planning Commission meets, because he would like to attend this meeting. Their was no formol report on the television survey made on sewer lines as of yet. Council wishes to have one by the next meetingf. WATER REPORT: Mr. Fox was.present at the meeting; He stated that Fox & Whyler Const. for water system ate going to start laying the water mains August 1st. and that the water tower would be started 3 months later. On July 22nd at the Regular Council meeting the bond bids will be opened,. PLANNING REPORT: Mr. Gayle Wolff heading the Planning Commission is planning a meeting soon: POLICING: Mayon°Coulter stated. that the policing job is becoming more and more of a Jobs, MAINTENANCE: Mayor Coulter instructed Francis Klein to: - Haul at least 7 loads of dirt down by Ken Erickson's See what can be done by Dotty Bongard's culvert. Try and locate Keith Rolf, and if he cannot be found to cut the weeds on said property, because their has been complaints. Francis Klein reports that the tar kettle is on order and should be here soon. Mayor Coulter instructed Francis Klein to fill all bad holes in the Village road with gravel or rock+. FIRE MARSHALL REPORT: .Mr. Earl McAllister -Village Fire Marshall gave his report on the fire accusing on rail road right -a -way property. Refer to file for report. Mr. Bernard Schneider representing the American Legion stated that the Legion is having a continuous Sewage problem and wishes the Village consult the engineers for possible opening of sewage to the south and taking in American Legion Building, At the July 22nd, meeting of the Village Council their will be a six month fininancial statement on how the Village is doing with their budgetf. ME (July 8, minutes continued) It was discussed at this meeting to hire some boys for maintr. work. But they will have to be 16 years or older. On a motion made by councilman Roeser and seconded by Councilman Pauly that all bills due be pait. Motion carried No neg. votes.
