All members present. The meeting was opened.: with the Pledge to the flag. The minutes of the last meeting were read and on a motion made by Councilman Holmberg and seconded by Councilman Pauly the minutes stand. approved as read. - lotion carried., no neg. Votes. Alayor Coulter reported on the fire meeting held between Chief Thompson, Earl i-lc- lliste Jack Lambert, Councilman ,oeser, , 'I.ayor Coulter and Attorney 7,uss Larson. •IAINTEXA`TC : EPCi:T Counncilman Tessness reported on the mower purchased from Cl-arence Loken. On a motion made by Councilman Tessness and seconded by Councilman Pauly that Clarence Loken be paid immediately for said mower. 'lotion carried, no neg Votes. IYEEDS A discussion was held on the weed situation arising in the Village. There are several property owners that are in violation of our ,reed ordin- ance. Councilman Tessness and I- Taint. man Doug Fritz are to submit a list of names to the Clerk and in turn she will notify said property owners by reg- istered mail of the violation. VILLAGE E;f.UIPIIEXT The Village Council agrees that no Village Equipment will be used for private contracting. DITCH CGIIYLAINT: There has been complaints on the ditch by the No Schutrop property, stating that the ditch is entirely too deep. The Council in- structs Engr Flatebo to submit a proposal and approx. cost to place tile in said ditch and fill it in. Engr Flatebo stated that he would contact Fox and Weiler to pick up scrap iron by the Elroy Iai.11iarns property, left over from Iuater Construction. Councilman Tessness reported that the culvert should be repaired by :'.'ay Knott's property to het the water to drain away.- A a culvert should be palced by the Frank Schneiders. LInUC: LIOEXSE ;Tr. herb Bloomberg present at meeting upgraded the Council on his project fo, a theater and liquor store project by Lake Susan. 'IIe stated. that he would like to be open before a year is up. ''r, 13loomber submitted to the Council a check for 1800.00 for his 1966 -67 :'.iquor ldcense. I;7ayor Coulter told - ,, Ir. Bloomberg that the Council will call him back in September to keep the Council informed as to the progress being made. P LIP HOUSE: Councilman Tessness reported that something has to be done with the yard around the pump house, he stated that it would tal:ce about 900 yards of sod. Ise has been in contact with someone that would give the Village a good price. He also suggested. that the pump house be painted. The Council authorizes Councilman Tessness to buy paint and paint pump house. it was suggested that the Village get bids on a lawn mower. It was suggested that the Justice of the Peace report and fine money be turned over to the clerk as soon as possible. 1` VIEW OF P`,) A i�IAIMT. i SAT Ei'I `i' On a motion made by Councilman Holmberg and seconded by Councilman = ?oeser that Police Officer Francis Klein' salary be raised from $400.00 to 450.00 per month and. ?Taint man Doug Fritz's salary be raised from :400.00 to 425.00 per month effective July lst, 1966. •Iotion carried., no negative votes. 4 ' (.inutes of the June 23 meeting continued) FIl -;E H<?.?�'.; A discussion was held on the fire hall. Councilman Tessness stated that he has talked to Frontier and that they have agreed to work with the Village on drawing up plans for proposed fire hall at no charge; Councilman Tessness reported that he would have preliminary plans by next Thursday June 30, 1 966, and a preliminary site location made. 1 I?ESIGNATIC : A letter was submitted to the Council stating the resigna tion of Councilman Ilolmberg. The reason for his resignation is that Councilman Holmberg is moving out of the area and therefore will no longer be able to serve on the Council. This resignation is effective immediately. At the June 30th Council meeting the Council members should present names for a new Councilman to replace Councilman Holmberg.
