MINUTES OF THE JULY 21, 1966 SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING (Public Hearing)
The Chanhassen Village Council met in special meeting on July 21, 1966 at
8s00 P.M. at the Village Hall. The purpose of said meeting is to conduct
a public hearing on Sewer Extension to be incorporated in the 1966 -1
project.
Mayor Coulter, Councilman Tessness, Pauly, and Heh1 present.
Councilman Roeser - absent.
On a motion made by Councilman Tessness and seconded by Councilman Pauly
that we dispense with all formalities. Motion carried, no negative votes.
Engineer Flatebo explained the addition to the 1966 -1 project for Sewer
and Lift Station on the north end of Saint Francis Street.
Councilman Tessness then intruduced the following resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION ORDERING ADDITIONAL WORK IN SEWER, WATER, AND STREET
IMPROVEMENT NO. 1966 -1 AND AUTHORIZING ADDITION OF THE WORK TO
THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT AWARDED TO RANDALL AND REED.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by member Pauly and upon a vote being taken, the following members voted
in favor thereof: Mayor Coulter, Councilman Pauly, Tessness and Hehl.
No negative votes, whereupon said resolution was declared passed and

On a motion made by Councilman Tessness and seconded by Councilman Pauly
t#at the Village hire Mr. Thomas Carmody - Architect to initiate the pre-
liminary pland on proposed Municipal Building. Motion carried, no neg. vote
On a motion made by Councilman Hehl and seconded by Councilman Pauly that
we initiate proceedings for a bond issue for a proposed Municipal Building
at the earliest possible date. Motion carried, no negative votes.
It was decided that the Officers And the Building committee from the Fire
Department and Councilman Rohl (Council representative) get together and
discuss this building.
The Clerk and Mayor are authorized to sign the contract with Mr. Thomas
Carmody - architect.
On a motion made by Councilman Tessness and seconded by Councilman Hehl the
meeting be adjourned. Motion carried, no negative votes.
