1966 09 29MINUTES OF THE SEPTEMBER 29th SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING ASSESSMENT HEARING The Chanhassen Village Council met in special meeting on.September 29th 1966 at 8:OO P.M. at the Village Hall. The following members were pre- set: Mayor Coulter, Councilman Tessness, Pauly, and Hehl. Councilman Roeser absent. On a motion made by Councilman Tessness and "seconded by Councilman Hehl that we dispense with all formalities: Motion carried. The Clerk presented affidavits of publication of the notice of hearing called to be held on special sssessments proposed to be levied for special benefit derived from the construction of Sewer, Ifater, and Street Improvement No. 1966 -1. Said affidavits were examined, approved and ordered filed. Mr. Hynes from the Milwaukee Road, stated they had no objection against the assessment and that they will pay their assessment in full before November 1st, 1966. A letter to this effect will follow. Mr. Eugene Hall objected to his assessment; stating it did not benefit him, he has a corner lot. CHANGES The Council moves that only one water lead be assessed on lot 8 & 9 instead of the usual 1 water lead per lot, in Highland Park Addition. The sewer leads be deleted on Lots 8 -14 block 2, and lots 1 -7 Block 3, Highland Park Addition; because the costs of these leads have already been assessed against the property. Also the figures on the assmt. roll will be adjusted to show all the figures in Highland Park Addition. The Coulter sewer assessment will be adjusted after the engineer talks to Mr. Forcier. Member Tessness then introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION ADOPTING SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS FOR SEIaJER, DATER, AND STREET IMPROVEMENT NO, 1966 -1 WITH THE CHA14GES AS STATED. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Pauly; and upon a vote being taken the following members voted in favor thereof: Mayor Coulter, Councilman Tessness, Pauly, and Hehl. no dissenting votes, whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted. (details to be found in minutes and resoultions 1966 -1 file) LEVY FOR 1967 On a motion made by Councilman Tessness and seconded by Councilman Pauly that the 1967 budget figures to be submitted to the County auditor and collected in the year 1967 are as follows: $6 sinking fund - Municipal Building 12 general revenue $19 Total On a motion made by Councilman Hehl and seconded by Councilman Tessness the meeting be adjourned.
