1966 11 10MINUTES OF THE NOVEMBER 10th VILLAGE COUNCIL MEETING
The Chanhassen Village Council met in regular meeting on November 10th
1966 at 7:30 P.M. at the Village Hall. Members present: `•:1ayor Coulter,
Councilman Hehl, Tessness and Roeser, Councilman Pauly absent.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and on a motion made by Councilma
Tessness and seconded by Councilman Loeser the minutes be approved as read.
Motion carried.
C014PLAINT: Councilman Hehl reported that the manager from the Qik & Ezy
feels they are being charged for more water than what they are using. A
discussion was held, Mayor Coulter stated that he would go up there and

SEWAGE R EPORT : The Sewer lines have been all flushed. The lift station
on Sunrise Hills road is now in operation.
T'AINTENANCE REPORT: The snow plow that was ordered is now here. Councilma
Tessness reported that he has asked Brian Windschitl to take Doug Fritz's
place while Mr. Fritz is on vacation next week.
BID OPENING FOR CONSTR O M UNICIPAL BUILDING: The bid opening was
held at 8 :00 P.M. Mr. Carmody conducted the bid opening. There were six
bidders. Bid tabulation as follows:

A lengthy discussion was then held as to why the mechanical bids for
heating, plumbing and electrical were not taken at this time; release of
the architect; the basic building in general, the Village doing their own
inspections on the building.
Mr. Carmody was asked if the Council would decide at this time to ask for
his release of the Contrat, would he give this "release? Mr. Carmody stated
that he would.
On a motion made by Councilman Hehl and seconded by Councilman Roeser that
we accept the lowest bid of Johnson and Peterson for $35 for the
4unicipal Building and that the bidders should start work as soon as
possible. Motion carried, no dissenting votes.
The Council desires to have the Building Committee from-the Fire Department
present at the November 21st, Council meeting. Chief Thompson present, ex-
plained they have not picked a chairman on their building committee, but
did state that Adolph Tessness was handling all the details up to date and
he stated that Psr. Tessness would be the Chairman of the Committee.
Councilman Hehl is the Representative from the Council on the building
Committee.
Attorney Russ Larson related to the Council his findings in examining the
abstract where the proposed Municipal Building will be erected. He stated
that there is a 8'easement on the east line of said property which has
created a cloud on' ?the title. This cloud should be erased before the
final papers are drawn.
ELECTION JUDGES:
The Council appoints Grace Lambert, Viola Buschkowsky and Loretta helm
as election judges to serve at the Village election December 6, 1966.

ballots.

12:00 to 8 :00 P.M. at the Village. Hall.
COUNCIL MEETING NIG CHANGED:
The next regular council meeting will
be changed
to November 21st,
1966 a Mo n day evening, this change is
due to
the fact that Thanks-
giving falls on the regular ThurdayS
meeting
night.
On a motion made by Councilman Tessness and seconded by Councilman
Loeser that all bills due be paid, except those circled. Motion
carried, no dissenting votes.
On a motion made by Councilman Tessness and seconded by Councilman
Hehl the meeting be adjourned.
