1966 12 29MINUTES OF THE DECEMBER 29th COUNCIL MEETING The Chanhassen Village Council met in regular meeting on December 29th, 1966 at 7 :30 P,M, at the Village Hall. Members Present: Mayor Coulter ;.Councilmen - Roeser Pauly & Tessness. Members absent: Councilman Hehl, The minutes of the last two meetings were read and on a motion made by Councilman Tessness and seconded by Councilman Roeser the minutes be ap- proved as read. Motion carried, no negative votes. Mr. Doug Fritz was asked to attend this meeting, The Council requests him to fill out a daily activity report showing the time it takes to do the various jobs of his departments. 19UNICIPAL BLDG, - BRICK SELECTIO Mr, Daniel Ryan - brick salesman for Soo City Brick Co. displayed to the Council several different colors and styles of brick, The Council de- cided on a #510 blend costing $80.00 per thousand. Mr Carmody - archil tect stated that the building would need about 3 to 4 thousand bricks, MACHANICAL BIDS Councilman Tessness reported on the machanical bids for the Municipal Building. He stated the reason for the delay is that Mr. Beesley has been on vacation, He has now returned and is drawing up the specifica- tions and plans. Tessness stated by tomorrow the plans and specifica- tions will be delivered to the clerks house. The Clerk is instructed to contact the Construction Bulletin and have the bid opening time extended to January 12th, 1967 at 7 :30 P.M. FIRE DEPARTMENT Chief Thompson related to the Council that the pumper will be here any day and he thinks its the Councils duty to find a place to house this truck until the fire station is completed. Mayor Coulter stated that he would do this. The Council asked Chief Thompson if there is a fire number for the residents of the Village to call in an emergency. Thompson stated that the Sheriffs Office is working on one but until it becomes finilized we will have to continue using the old numbers, that were passed out in the Village several months ago. MERGER Attorney Larson related Minneapolis Paper is in 14th at 12:01 A,M, if t1 A copy of the notice of out to each Councilman, to the Council that error. The Merger Sere is no petition election of the 1st (Copy is on file) the article will become filed. Village Officers was passed appearing in the final February ROAD BEHIND STANDARD OIL Attorney Larson stated that the Village should not except any new roads unless they are brought up to Village Standards. (Example: Chanhassen Estates and Highland Park) VILLAGE AUDIT On a motion made by Councilman Tessness and seconded by Councilman Roeser that an audit should be conducted of the Village records according to statutory requirements, Motion carried, No neg, Votes. Mayor Coulter has Council approval to advise Mr. Herb Hoffman what the Village desires. 130 (December 29th meeting continued) The „Council approves that $2 from the 1966 -1 fund be placed in the general Fund for Maintenance while project was under Con- struction. That $300.00 be transferred from the Sewer Operating Fund into the General and $1 from the Water Operating Fund into the General for Labor.
