1967 02 1643T STORM SEWER PUBLIC HEARING FEBRUARY'16. 1967 The Chanhassen Village Council held a public hearing on February 16, 1967 at 8:00 P.M. at the American Legion Club in Chanhassen Minnesota, Mayor Coulter opened the meeting. Two letters were read, one from Father Firmin - pastor of Saint Hubertts Church, and one from Bob Mayer - owner of the Quick Clean Center. Engineer Flatebo explained the proposed,storm sewer project. Approximately 70 residents were present.' Most of them voic6ing objections. A discussion was held for about three hours, The biggest objection was the manner on how it is to be assessed and whether there is really a need for a storm sewer at this time. Mayor Coulter brought the meeting to a close saying that no decision will be made tonight and the purpose for this meeting was to get the opinions of the people. I V utz k SPECIAL MEETING FEBRUARY 20th 1967 The Chanhassen Village Council met in special meeting on February 20 19679 at 8 :30 P.M at the Village Hall, Mayor Coulter called the meeting to order, All members were present. Councilman Tessness left the meeting at 8:45 P.M. Mr'. Don Stolz and Mr. Herb Bloomberg were present. Mr. Bloomberg presented the Council with a letter of intent as to his' project where the Liquor License he has applied for will be used, The Clerk read the letter. (Letter on file) A discussion was then held. The Council asked Mr. Bloomberg to explain item #4 in his letter.` Mr. Bloomberg stated that because of financing the site that was originally planned for this project will be deferred for the time being. He has located another site, east of the Frontier Furniture Store. This site will be used for the Dining Theater project and at a later date can be transferred to the original site. Mr. Bloomberg also stated: #1. Would be able to park 200 cars, #2. The project would cost a quarter of a million dollars. #3. The Bongard property would have to be purchased in order to achieve this project. #4. 600 to 700 seating capacity planned for.. #5. Hope to have matinees and noon luncheons. Russ Larson Village Attorney asked if you could just dine there without buying a ticket for the theater. Mr. Stolz stated no it would be,a com- bined ticket, anyone eating there would also be there for the show. Russ stated that he would have to get further information as to whether a Municipality of the size of Chanhassen Village could issue a liquor license to a restaurant.
