1967 02 27139 MINUTES OF THE FEBRUARY 27th 1967 VILLAGE COUNCIL MEETING The Chanhassen Village Council met in. regular meeting on February 27th, 1967 at 7 :30 P.M. at the Village Hall. All meibbers present. Mayor Coulter opened the meeting with the pledge to the flag. The minutes of the Public Hearing and of the February 13th and 20th were read and on a motion made by Copneilman,Erickson and seconded by Councilman Hehl the minutes be approved as read. Motion carried no� negative votes. The Village would like to go on record that it is their desire to join the Carver ,County League of Elected Officials, Mayor Coulter informed the Council that the next meeting will be March lsto 1967 at the Isac Walton Hall in Waconia and as many Councilmen as possible should try to be present The Clerk reported that there has been a request from Mr. Wigfield to check. and record the building permits of the Village since they were first issued County Commissioner Bernard Schneider present explained to the Council that the County has requested Lindsey Engineering to make a Sewer Survey of the County and that apparently Mr.' Wtgfield works for Lindsey Engineering and that this is part of the survey,, I Chief Thompson, Sec'." Jack Lambert and.Civil Defense Director Earl McAllister from the Fire Department were present. A discussion followed about the water collection in the low spot on Lake Street when the spring thaw accurs The,Civil Defense Chief and Fire Chief were instructed to prepare a plan.: to utilize the fire fighting equipment to rel &6ve the water situation where flooding exists, LIQUOR LICENSE FEES: A discussion was held on setting the Liquor License fees for 1967 -68 and establishing two different types of licenses of which the later the Council desires to table until the Attorney gives a recommendation on;'' On a motion made by Councilman Tessness and seconded by Councilman Erickson that the 1967 -68 On Sale Intoxicating Liquor License fees be set at $1 Motion carried.` Four yes votes one negative voter On a motion made by Councilman Hehl and seconded by Councilman Erickson that the Council accept the On and Off Sale Liquor License Application made by Harry Pauly for and behalf of Paulyls Bar Inca Motion carried, no negative votes. On a motion made by Councilman Rosser and seconded by Councilman Tessness that the Council accept the On and Off Sale Liquor License Application made by Ann Koltyk for and behalf of Jerryts Barr Motion carried, no negative votes.` The Council desires that Mr`,' Bloombergs Liquor License Application be de- ferred until the March 27th meeting. Mayor Coulter is to advise Mr, Bloomberg of this and request his presence at the meeting held on the above date with complete plans and scheduled consturction on his proposed Building, On a motion made by Councilman Tessness and seconded by Councilman Rosser that Attorney Russ Larson be instructed to present to the Council a re- vision of Ordinance #53 Section 3. Some points to be considered are: 1. Amount of investment 2, License fees for two different types of operation. 3. Residence of Stockholders Motion carri *d no negative votes.` V Minutes of the February 27th Council meeting continued Mayor Coulter is to inform the Riviera Club that their Application for a Liquor License has been taken under advisement and that <they will be notified that action was taken after the March 27th meeting. RETAINER ENGINEER: On a motion made by Councilman Tessness and seconded by Councilman Roeser that the Village Council hire T: F1ate$o on a $25;00 a,month retainer': Motion carried, no negative votes.' MACHANICAL BIDS: On a motion made by Councilman Hehl and seconded by Councilman Roeser that we accept the machanical plans, -- plumbing, heating, and electrical -- for the Municipal Building: Motion carried no negative votes. On a motion made by Councilman Roeser and seconded by Councilman Hehl that the Council accept the lowest bids subject to negotiation on the Plumbing, heating and Electrical for the Municipal Building, Which are: HEATING: Fred Vogt $6,244.'00, PLUMBING Bobts Plmbg . 6,74 ELECTRICAL Synder Elect, 7 Motion carried, no negative votes, STORM SEWERS: Each Councilman is to study and have ready by the March 27th meeting a.method of getting rid of the water where a drainage problem exists.
