1967 04 171 MINUTES OF THE APRIL 17 1967 SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING 1 44 9 The Chanhassen Village Council met in special meeting on April 17, 1967 at 7 :30 P.M. at the Village Hall. All members present. On a motion made by Councilman Hehl and seconded by Councilman Roeser that we dispense with all formalities. Motion carried, no negative votes. The purpose for calling this special meeting is the for the Council to Village improve— The Village Attorney is to meet with Bloomberg and his attorney and discuss these matters at the earliest possible date. meet with the Village Attorney RE: Bloomberg Liquor License. After much discussion on said matter it was decided that Russ Larson Attorney draw up a letter of intent setting forth the following: 1. Amount of investment. 2. Location of Building. 3. Parking, ment of lot drainage and etc. 4. Police service and maint orders. 5. Starting and completion dates. MAINTENANCE_: A discussion was held on maintenance. Several Council members stated that the roads in the Village are in.very poor shape or condition. It was decided that the Village when buying spread evenly all the purchases to the businesses in the Village so that one business doesn't receive all the business and rest none. SEWER UNIT A ND FOOTAGE CHARGE — SCHOLER 2nd ADDITION; ,Village Attorney — Russ Larson related to the Council that Lots 9, l0 11 12 & 13 Block 4 Scholer's second addition must be assessed footage and pay the prevailing Unit Charge. HIGHLAND PARK SEWERS Hansen & Klingelhutz would like a ruling on their pro— perty abutting west drive and South Drive as to what they have to pay, re— garding the Sewer main that was installed by Robert Seboler. Attorney Larson quoted Ordinance #28 Section 4 9 and explained that these lots will have to pay the $4.00 per foot charge and the prevailing Unit Charge. A letter will follow stating this. Mayor Coulter asked that all Councilmen that can should attend the School Board Meeting Thursday evening, because the Land acquisition for the new school to be built in Chanhassen will be discussed. RESIGNATION :Councilman Tessness gave an oral resignation from the Maintenance Committee on Thursday April 13 1967. On a motion made by Councilman Hehl and seconded by Councilman Erickson that Adolph Tessness remain on bhe Maintenance Committee until after May 2. 1967. Motion carried one negative vote.
