1968 06 24BOARD OF EQUALIZATION, JUNE 24, 1968
The Board of Equalization met at 8:00 P.M. on June 24, 1968.
Valuations were discussed with taxpayers present. On a motion made
by Councilman Bennyhoff and seconded by Councilman Hill to continue
the Equalization meeting until July 8, 1968, at 8:00 P.M.
CHANHASSEN VILLAGE COUNCIL MEETING JUNE 24, 1968
68 -6 AND MUNICIPAL BUILDING: On a motion made by Councilman
Bennyhoff and seconded by Councilman Hill to pay Flatebo Engineering
preliminary engineering fee of 4k% for the 1968 -6 and Municipal Site.
The following voted in favor thereof: Councilmen Hill, Bennyhoff,
Pearson, and Klingelhutz. Mayor Coulter voted no. Motion carried.
Councilman Pearson moved the adoption of the foregoing resolution:
BE IT RESOLVED that $801.43, Check #1772 General Account, be paid
to Flatebo Engineering on a warrant. Resolution seconded by
Councilman Bennyhoff. The following voted in favor thereof:
Mayor Coulter, Councilmen Hill, Pearson, Klingelhutz, and Bennyhoff.
No negative votes. Motion carried.
1967 -4: On a motion made by Councilman Klingelhutz and seconded
by Councilman Hill that the statement presented by the Village
Engineer to Northern Contracting 1967 -4 Project in the amount of
$6,528.07 be paid. The following voted in favor thereof: Mayor
Coulter, Councilmen Hill, Pearson, Bennyhoff, and Klingelhutz.
No negative votes. Motion carried.
POLICE- SCHOOL LIAISON: Councilman Bennyhoff moved the adoption of
the foregoing resolution: WHEREAS, it has been shown that a
cooperative effort by and between the municipal Police Department
and School District has reduced many of the problems with juveniles
which both agencies have in common, and WHEREAS, it would be in
the public interest for the municipalities within Minnetonka School
District No. 276 to cooperate in the formation of a Police - School
Liaison Program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE
COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF CHANHASSEN, THAT
1. The Chanhassen Village Council favors the establishment of a
Police - School Liaison Program within Minnetonka School District
No. 276 prior to the beginning of the 1968 -69 School Year.
2. The Chanhassen Village Council urges the Minnetonka School
Board to approve its establishment.
Adopted by the Village Council this 24th day of June, 1968.
Resolution seconded by Councilman Pearson. The following voted
in favor thereof: Mayor Coulter, Councilmen Pearson, Bennyhoff,
Hill, and Klingelhutz. No negative votes. Motion carried.
REMODELING COUNCIL CHAMBERS: On a motion by Councilman Hill and
seconded by Councilman Bennyhoff to approve necessary labor and
material to enclose a room in the Council area, labot and material
cost approximately $250.00 to $300.00. The following voted in favor
thereof: Mayor Coulter, Councilmen Hill, Bennyhoff, Pearson, and
Klingelhutz. No negative votes. Motion carried.
