1969 02 10CHANHASSEN VILLAGE COUNCIL MEETING FEBRUARY 10, 1969
The Chanhassen Village Council meeting on February 10, 1969, at 8 :00
p.m. was opened with the Pledge to the Flag. The following members
were present: Mayor Coulter, Councilmen Hill, Bennyhoff, Pearson,
and Klingelhutz.
MINUTES: A motion was made by Councilman Pearson and seconded by
Councilman Bennyhoff to dispense with reading and the
minutes. - The following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Coulter,
Councilmen Hill, Bennyhoff, Klingelhutz, and Pearson. No negative
votes. Motion carried.
SUBDIVISION AND PLATTING ORDINANCE: A motion was made by Councilman
Bennyhoff and seconded by Councilman Pearson that the Platting Ordinance
be turned over to the Planning Commission Chairman and Village Attorney
for approval of the final draft and submit same at the next meeting.
The following voted 'in favor thereof: Mayor Coulter, Councilmen
Bennyhoff, Klingelhutz, Hill, and Pearson. No negative votes. Motion
carried.
INDUSTRIAL ORDINANCE: A motion was made by Councilman Hill and seconded
by Councilman Bennyhoff to approve the Industrial Ordinance as submitted
with amendments. The following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Coulter,
Councilmen Hill, Bennyhoff, Klingelhutz, and Pearson. No negative
votes. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE #32: A motion was made by Councilman Pearson and seconded
by Councilman Bennyhoff to approve an Ordinance relating to the
consumption and display of intoxicating liquor in private clubs and
public places, and providing penalties for the violation thereof.
The following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Coulter, Councilmen Hill,
Bennyhoff, Klingelhutz, and Pearson. No negative votes. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE LICENSING.AND REGULATING-THE SALE AND CONSUMPTION OF
NON - INTOXICATING MALT LIQUORS: A motion was made by Mayor Coulter and
seconded by Councilman Bennyhoff that this ordinance be sent back to
the Liquor Committee for further study. The following votes were
cast: Councilman Hill - yes, Councilman Bennyhoff - yes, Mayor Coulter -
yes, Councilman Klingelhutz - no, Councilman Pearson - no. Motion
carried.
O RDINANC E RELATING TO- THE -SALE AND CONSUMPTION OF INTOXICATING LI QUOR
AND NON - INTOXICATING MALT LIQUOR: A motion was made by Mayor Coulter
and seconded by Councilman Bennyhoff that this ordinance be sent back to
the Liquor Committee for further study. The following voted in favor
thereof: Mayor Coulter, Councilmen Hill, Bennyhoff, Pearson, and
Klingelhutz. No negative votes. Motion carried.
FIRE DEPARTMENT (RELIEF ASSOCIATION): A decision was reached that
before giving approval to invest the relief association funds the
Council requests a- Ilegal opinion from the Village Attorney.
ENGINEER: A motion was made by Councilman Pearson and seconded by
Councilman Bennyhoff to approve the Engineer's Contract. The following
voted in favor thereof: Councilmen Hill, Bennyhoff, Klingelhutz, and
Pearson. Mayor Coulter abstained. Motion carried.
OAKMONT: A motion was made by Councilman:Hill and seconded by
Councilman Pearson that a copy "of the letter from the Village
Attorney concerning the Oakmont Addition be forwarded to Mr. Lybeck.
The following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Coulter, Councilmen Hill,
Pearson, Bennyhoff, and Klingelhutz. No negative votes. Motion carried.
ADMINISTRATOR: A. motion_was_ made by Councilman Hill and seconded by
Councilman Bennyhoff that the' - Council reconsider. the Administrator's
salary,that - was set at.,the meeting.`..The following voted in
favor'" thereof: - `Mayor Coulter, Councilmen Hill; "Bennyhoff, Klingelhutz,
and Pearson. No negative votes. Motion carried.
