The Chanhassen Village:Council meeting on March 10, 1969, at 8:00
p.m_vas opened with the Pledge to the Flag. The following members
were present: Councilmen Hill, Bennyhoff, Pearson, and Acting
Mayor Councilman Klingelhutz..
MINUTES: :.A.motion was made by Councilman Hill and seconded by
Councilman Bennyhoff to approve.the minutes of February 2;4. The.
following voted in favor thereof: Councilmen Hill, Bennyhoff,
Pearson and Klingelhutz. No negative votes. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Councilman Pearson and seconded by Councilman
Bennyhoff that the Planning Commission.minutes of March 4 were read
and noted. The following voted in favor.thereof Councilmen.Hill,
Bennyhoff, Klingelhutz, and Pearson. No negative votes. Motion
carried. ;
' PLANNING COMMISSION: A motion was made by Councilman Pearson and
seconded by Councilman Hill that the Council approve the Attorney's
bill for Platting Ordinance work to be paid one -half out of Administration
and one -half out of Planning Commission Budget. The following voted
in favor thereof: Councilmen Hill, Pearson, Bennyhoff, and Klingelhutz.
No negative votes.. Motion carried.
1968 -2 WELL: A motion was made by Councilman Pearson and seconded by
Councilman Hill to approve Change Order No. 1 accepted by Keys Well
Drilling Company February 26 in the amount of $490.00. additional. The
following voted in favor thereof: Councilmen Hill, Bennyhoff, Pearson,
and Klingelhutz. No negative..votes. Motion carried.
MAINTENANCE: A motion was made by Councilman Hill and seconded by
Councilman Bennyhoff to accept the low bid from Harold Chevrolet in
the amount, - -of $6.141.00 for a dump truck. The following voted in
favor thereof: Councilmen Klingelhutz, Pearson, Bennyhoff, and Hill.
No negative votes..._ Motion carried.
LIQUOR LICENSE FEE: A motion was made by Councilman Pearson and
seconded b Councilman Klingelhutz that the On -Sale Non - Intoxicating
Liquor License be set at $150.00. The following voted in favor thereof:
Councilmen 'Hill,- Bennyhoff,,Pearson, and Klingelhutz. No negative
votes. Motion carried.
NEW CHURCH: Ralph Kant was present as a representative of the new
Lutheran Church, to explain and inform the Council of their plans at
this time.
METROPOLITAN COUNCIL: Councilman Hill gave a report on the meeting
that was held by the Metropolitan Council oft our Generalized Guide
Plan. The Metropolitan Council has not reached a final decision at
this time. The Administrator was instructed to inform Mr. Beiersdorf
of this action.

UTILITY DEPARTMENT: A motion was made by Councilman Pearson and
seconded by Councilman Bennyhoff to send the Utility Superintendent
to Sewer-and .Water School. The fee as $40.00: The; .following voted .
in favor - thereof :. Councilmen Hill., Pearson, Bennyhoff, and
Klingelhutz. No negative votes. Motion carried.
CLERK - ADMINISTRATOR:. „A.motion was made by Councilman Hill and seconded
by Councilman Pearson to approve sending the Clerk- Administrator to
the Conference of Municipal Clerks and Finance Officers. The following
voted in favor thereof: Councilmen Hill.,-Bennyhoff, Klingel.hutz.,:and
Pearson. No negative votes. Motion carried.
HUMAN RIGHTS: Mrs. Buell, Chairman of the Study Committee on Human
Rights, w.as.present to explain the progress and recommendations of
their study to date. A preliminary draft of the Human Rights Ordinance
was presented to the Council.
OAKMONT: Discussion was held on the proposed plat and the Engineer's
report - .dated March. 4, 1969, by the Council. No '.decision was made.
The.main idea of the discussion was to inform the Council prior to
the public hearing on March 17.
S.F. BILL 159: A motion was made by Councilman Bennyhoff and seconded
by Councilman Hill that the Council draw up a resolution supporting
this_bill.and inform :our -State Representatives. The following voted
in favor thereof: Councilmen Hill, Pearson, and
Klingelhutz.. -No negative votes. Motion carried.
ADMINISTRATION: A motion was made by Councilman Hill and seconded by
Councilman Pearson that the Village purchase an IBM Selectric
Typewriter to be set up on a one -year lease with option to purchase.
The - following= voted in favor thereof: Councilmen Hill, Bennyhoff,
Pearson, and Klingelh.utz. No negative votes. Motion carried:.
INDUSTRIAL COMMISSION: Councilman Kli•ngelhutz, Acting Mayor, read a
letter from Stuart Baird informing the Council of his resignation from
the Industrial Commission. Reason being that has many other
commitments.
A motion was made by Councilman Bennyhoff and seconded by Councilman
Hill to adjourn. Meeting adjourned.
