This change involves the shifting of the existing CSAH 18 (Lyman Boulevard) corridor to the north between CSAH 11 and Trunk Highway 41 as summarized on the attached diagram. A portion of this revised road alignment borders the southern boundary of the Landscape Arboretum in Chanhassen. The remaining segments of this realignment traverse the communities of Chaska and Victoria. The proposed realignment is scheduled for construction and will provide better continuity of CSAH 18 between Trunk Highway 41 and CSAH 11. MINNESOTA 55318 r( t; Attached hereto is a drawing which illustrates the proposed revision of the county state aid highway (CSAH) system within the City of Chanhassen that has been a discussion item with Chanhassen. This proposed shifting of the CSAH 18 corridor to the ' north between CSAH 11 and TH 41 is summarized on the attached diagram. To accomplish the objective of constructing new CSAH 18 between CSAH 11 and TH 41 on this alignment, the proposed CSAH ' system revision must be completed. The resolutions to formally have the County, the City, and the State consider these changes have been written. These resolutions are: ' 1. County Board resolution revoking and designating portions of the County State Aid Highway system as described. 2. City of Chanhassen resolution approving the revocations and designations. ,3. Mn /DOT Commissioner's formal revocation and designation of the described revisions. I am enclosing with this memorandum a copy of Carver County Board resolution 31 -94 revising the County State Aid Highway system. This resolution was adopted by the County Board on March 7, 1994. Also, I am enclosing with this memorandum the approval resolution to be considered by the Chanhassen City Council. Adoption of this resolution will permit the described CSAH system revision to be submitted to the Commissioner of Transportation for formal CSAH revocation and designation. Please place this resolution on the agenda of the next meeting of the City Council.
